10:00 am – The Future of Risk Management

Risk managers had their work cut out for them this year. As our lives and work environment dramatically changed, so have their priorities and approach related to risk management. Their role has expanded beyond what we would now consider “traditional” risk management and, in most circumstances, they have been given a more prominent seat at the table, maintaining a greater presence within their organizations. In this session, a panel of risk managers discusses the impact of current unprecedented safety challenges and how they expect risk management to evolve moving forward.

11:15 am – Mental Health Issues in the Workplace: A Mounting Threat

Mental health has been a point of emphasis for Out Front Ideas for several years. Today, mental health is a larger issue than ever before as people struggle with social isolation, insecurity and fear. This has been augmented by the pandemic, with extreme demands put on essential employees, the shift to remote work for others, related caregiving challenges, and worry over potential furlough and job loss. This session will highlight methods and resources that employers can use to support their workforce through these challenges and keep them engaged.

12:30 pm – Adjusting & Adapting the Claims Handling Model

Due to the pandemic, there have been many short-term changes made to the way our industry does business. Large in-person meetings have become smaller and virtual. Many teams are working from home. Claims review meetings and client meetings are being conducted in a virtual format. More companies are allowing self-reporting of claims. This session will discuss how the claims handing model could and should evolve to be more efficient and effective going forward.
